The International Symposium for Infection & Immunity will be held

The International Symposium for Infection & Immunity organized by Nankai University and Beroni Group will be held in Nankai University (Balitai Campus) on 12th June, 2018.

Infection &Immunology ofis one of the fastest growing disciplines in biomedical sciences and even in life sciences. Research in this field has great prospect in immune regulation, specific bacterial and viral infections, and anti-tumor immunotherapy. The symposium is aiming at discussing the development and research progress of infection and immunity and exploring new methods for preventing and treating infectious diseases.

Professor Walter Ian Lipkin, Director of Center for Infection and Immunity of Columbia University will attend the symposium and make a keynote speech. He will also introduced the research findings of Columbia University’s projects in virus detection and immunology, and predict and analyze the prevention of infectious diseases.

During the 2003 SARS outbreak, Professor Walter Ian Lipkin assisted China to fight for SARS and donated 10, 000 Diagnostic kits to China. He won the China International Science and Technology Cooperation Award in 2015, and was dubbed the “World’s Most Celebrated Virus Hunter”by Discover.

The symposium will effectively promote the innovation and cooperation between China and USA in the field of “infection and immunity” and it will provide a professional academic exchange platform for top universities in China and USA. At that time, domestic and internationalexperts and scholars in the field of infection and immunology will attend the symposium and will also be reported by media.
