On 7th December, the Third Precision Medicine & Medical Care and Aging International Forum (“Forum”) organized by the Silk-Road Industry and Finance International Alliance and Beroni Group Limited, and co-sponsored by Joint Research Center of Beroni and ThorGene, and Tianjin Hi-Tec Entrepreneurs Association was successfully held in Tianjin Scientists and Engineers Club. With the theme of “Innovation Driving Development, Technology Leading Future”, the Forum invited scientists, experts and scholars in the healthcare industry from China, America, Japan, Australia to present and share their latest scientific and technological achievements in seeking comprehensive treatment for tumors, R&D and clinical trials of anti-cancer new drugs, precision medicine, integrated medical and aging care etc.
The Forum primarily focused on academic exchanges on hot issues in the field of global health, and the development trends of the health industry in international environment, which provided new ideas for sustainable advancement of the human health, and promoted technological cooperation and industrialization development among many countries. The Forum also promoted new innovative ideas and offered new therapeutic methods and solutions for various diseases.
The Forum focused on five topics – Precision Medicine, Immunotherapy, New Anti-Cancer Drugs, Integrated Medical and Aging Care and Health Management, and Cooperation with Entrepreneurs.
Mr. Wenlian Cao, President of the Silk-road Industry and Finance International Alliance, Mr. Shouji Lu, Vice President and Secretary General of the Silk-road Industry and Finance International Alliance, H.E. Yukio Hatoyama, Former Prime Minister of Japan and China-Japan Goodwill Ambassador, Mr. Xishan Hao, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Mr. Jacky Zhang, Executive Chairman of Beroni Group Limited, and scientists from various countries attended this Forum and delivered their speeches.
Mr. Wenlian Cao, Representative of the organizers, and President of the Silk-road Industry and Finance International Alliance stated in his opening speech “ The Precision Medicine & Medical Care and Aging International Forum aims to create a high-end platform for co-learning, co-research, sharing and win-win to promote cooperation in the life sciences and health industry between countries along the One Belt and One Road and developed countries, and to contribute to the development of precision medicine and integrated medical and aging care in the world. At the same time, he believed that the forum would provide numerous entrepreneurs with new innovative ideas and achievements in scientific research exchanges, promote more cooperation on superior science and technology projects, propel commercialization and promotion of remarkable research outcomes, and bring new power for the development of global biotechnology and life sciences industries.”
H.E. Yukio Hatoyama, Former Prime Minister of Japan attended the Forum the third time and made his keynote speech as “Global Senior Consultant for Precision Medicine & Medical Care and Aging International Forum”. H.E. Yukio Hatoyama has adhered to the “Fraternity” spirit for many years and he proposed in this Forum “I hope to expand the community concept to One Belt and One Road health community and get people’s support. He also said “I think building such a new conception is a meaningful thing. For me, “Fraternity” actually carries two concepts which are benevolence and technique. President Xi has told me that “Fraternity” with benevolence and technique are needed to promote China’s One Belt and One Road Initiative”. Beroni Group Limited, one of the organizers of the Forum, is committed to developing advanced medical technology to help the sick people and to improve the living environment of the elderly. I would like to express my heartfelt respect and thanks to Beroni Group Limited for its tremendous efforts and contributions in the health industry. He hoped Beroni Group Limited, and its science researchers and research institutions can show the spirit of “Fraternity” in the developing the health industry. Beroni Group Limited has raised two general concepts of strengthening integration of medical and aging care and promoting integration of eastern medicine and western medicine. He believed the Group with such an amazing idea will bring us “win-win successes”.
Mr. Xishan Hao, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering appealed to scientists to carry on more researches on tumors. In his speech, “China’s government has introduced key policies for treating and preventing tumors, and aiming to increase the success rate of cardiovascular disease treatment to 45%-46% from 2022 to 2030. Besides, the prevention and treatment program for other four diseases, including diabetes is also included in the policies, for implementing Healthy China Strategy effectively. This is a challenging goal that needs all walks of life, especially international scientists, academicians, entrepreneurs, leaders and technicians attending the Forum to make contributions to prevention and treatment of diseases and tumors, and finally putting Healthy China Strategy into effect, he stated.
Mr. Jacky Zhang, Executive Chairman of Beroni Group Limited and the key representative of the organizers, said “the Forum aims to cope with the challenges of cancers and promote China’s innovation and development in the field of health care. Through this Forum, we have established an alliance of international scientists in the precision medicine and integrated medical and aging care. Global renowned scientists are invited to attend the Forum to show their latest research findings in anti-cancer therapy, precision medicine and integrated medical and aging care, and communicate with each other to promote the development of new technologies for cancer prevention and treatment. Prof. Philip Hogg, Senior Principle Research Fellow of NHMRC, Australia, Prof. Takuya Tsunoda of Showa University, Prof. Zhinan Yin, Dean of the Biomedical Translational Research Institute, Jinan University, Prof. Hongbing Zhang of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Mr. Qian Chen, Full Professor of Joint Research Center of Beroni and ThorGene, Mr. Hua Zhou, Vice President of Chinese Health Association, Prof. Qingzhi Gao of School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Tianjin University, Prof. Zhangyong Hong, College of Life Sciences, Nankai University, Prof. Michael Yuchi of School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Tianjin University, Mr. Zhijian Zheng, Director of Department of Acupuncture and Massage, Beijing Hospital, National Health and Family Planning Commission of PRC delivered their technical speeches.
The Forum presented three recognition awards – “International Innovation Gold Award” to Professor Takuya Tsunoda, “International Science and Technology Gold Award” to Professor Zhinan Yin and “Gold Award for International Scientific and Technological Cooperation” to Professor Philip Hogg for their contributions to the medical research field.
Focusing on the human needs for good health, the Forum aims to create a new platform for international cooperation, and promote the development of the health industry by integrating multiple strengths and leveraging international background advantages. It provided a platform for international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, which effectively promoted the exchange of scientific workers around the world and cooperation between global universities and research institutions. A technological innovation system with scientific research as the main body, and a combination of production, teaching, and research have been established.
