The Second Precision Medicine & Medical Care and Aging International Forum organized by The Silk Road Industry and Finance International Alliance and Beroni Group Limited was held successfully at Sheraton Hotel, Nansha, Guangzhou, China from 7th December to 9th December 2018.
H. E. Yukio Hatoyama, Former Prime Minister of Japan attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech. He said: “ I’d like to express my heartfelt congratulations to The Second Precision Medicine & Medical Care and Aging International Forum organized by The Silk Road Industry and Finance International Alliance and Beroni Group Limited, and also I’d like to express my sincere thanks and respect to Mr. Jacky Zhang, Executive Chairman of Beroni Group for his undertaking to use advanced medical technology to save people’s lives and help the elderly people to live comfortably in their later years. Mr. Jacky Zhang has the spirit of fraternity. A few months ago, he and his team held a conference at my You’ai Mountain Villa in Tokyo. I’m really appreciative of his support. It is very heartening to hear that a healthcare centre may be built in Nansha by Beroni Group under the direction of Mr. Jacky Zhang, I am looking forward to the construction of the new centre for drugs R&D, stem cell therapy, cancer treatment and nursing facilities for the elderly.”
H. E. Yukio Hatoyama, former Prime Minister of Japan also said in his keynote speech: “The healthcare industry has helped promote friendly cooperation between Japan and China. It has become better because of the participation of the USA, UK, Australia and other countries. A few years ago, President Xi Jinping proposed the Belt and Road Initiative which is like the Silk Road of the past to help the countries along the Belt and Road zone improve their infrastructures and develop their economies. At the “Belt and Road” forum held in Beijing, President Xi Jinping proposed two goals for the Belt and Road Initiative; one is building peace and the other is achieving prosperity. It is necessary to invest and construct major infrastructures such as roads, harbors, airports, railways, and urban cities according to the requirements of each region, which is very important for regional stability and development. The friendly Silk Road Alliance promoted by Beroni Group is in line with the Belt and Road Initiative and it has played an important and creative role.”
The forum with the theme of “Innovating Health Industry Co-building Fraternity Silk Road” aims to promote the scientific research and innovation in the field of biotechnology and life sciences and strengthen the cooperation among the countries involved in the development of the healthcare industry under the “Belt and Road” initiative which supports the spirit of fraternity proposed by H.E. Yukio Hatoyama. The forum officially invited H.E. Yukio Hatoyama to be the “Global Senior Consultant of The Precision Medicine & Medical Care and Aging International Forum”. The two sides will work together to build a bridge of friendship between China and Japan. After his speech, H. E. Yukio Hatoyama wrote the inscription “”Silk Road Friendly Alliance” for the forum to express his support to the forum and best wishes to the friendly relationship between China and Japan.
During the forum, Mr. Jacky Zhang, Executive Chairman of Beroni Group Limited invited H.E. Yukio Hatoyama, Former Prime Minister of Japan to have a discussion. In his speech, H.E. Yukio Hatoyama said that China’s long-term adherence to the one-child policy may face the phenomenon of an aging population which will bring serious challenges to the Chinese social and medical industry in the near future. Therefore, it is particularly important and urgent to carry out research in the field of precision medicine and medical care and aging. Japan which now has an aging population has been developing its medical and healthcare industry to cope with the challenges and can certainly share lessons learnt with China. He hoped that both sides can promote the sincere cooperation in the field of precision medicine and integrated medical care with a friendly and cooperative spirit, improve the research in these areas, advance the commercialization of research outcomes and contribute to improving human health.
H.E. Yukio Hatoyama said the Belt and Road Initiative is beneficial to all countries. This initiative has effectively promoted cooperation and strengthened relationship between China and countries involved in this initiative in diplomatic, political and military fields. The Second Precision Medicine & Medical Care and Aging International Forum has firmly promoted the concept of the Silk Road Friendly Alliance in the healthcare industry, which made it a very successful case for promoting the Belt and Road spirit in Japan and China. He hoped that all countries would follow the international principles of peace and friendliness and advocate the spirit of mutual benefit to promote the development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The wonderful speech of H.E. Yukio Hatoyama, received warm applause from the participants who acknowledged the spirit of “Fraternity” being advocated by H.E. Yukio Hatoyama and hoped that the Belt and Road Project would take advantage of its powerful influence to bring peace and friendship to all countries in the world, as well as deeper exchanges and cooperation.
